Letter J Tracing Worksheet
Tracing is how little hands learn the shapes of letters before writing them alone. This free worksheet gives your child a big friendly letter J to copy, rows of light letters to trace over, and an empty row to try all by themselves.
My name is: ______________________
Trace the letters, then try writing them on your own. J is for Juice.

J is for juice. Ask which flavor their letter J juice would be.

Tip for grown-ups: sit the paper so the light letters are easy to follow, say the letter sound together ("j" as in juice), and celebrate the try-it-yourself row the most — wobbly counts.
How to use this worksheet
- Start with the big letter. Let your child run a finger along the J first — tracing with a finger warms up the movement.
- Trace the light rows. A thick crayon or short pencil is easiest for small hands to control.
- Try the empty row. One honest attempt is worth more than three perfect traced rows.
- Keep it short. Five happy minutes beat twenty forced ones. You can always print another copy tomorrow.
